Who's This?

This is probably the baddest bitch you'll see in the booth

Tong 桐 (he/they)

Oriental by birth and Western by training, Tong 桐 is a Naarm-based DJ, record enthusiast, and devoted student of house music.

Emerging from Beijing’s underground dancefloors, Tong developed a deep connection to the lineage of Chicago house, Detroit techno, and New York club culture — sounds rooted in Black and queer musical traditions that continue to shape dance music today.

His sets move fluidly between deep house, disco, techno, soul, and acid, balancing classic grooves with a forward-looking energy. Drawing inspiration from figures such as Honey Dijon, Derrick Carter, and Danny Tenaglia, Tong approaches DJing as both tribute and evolution — honouring the foundations of house while pushing its rhythm and emotion into new spaces.

On the dancefloor, his selections are playful, sensual, and groove-driven, inviting bodies to sweat, connect, and lose themselves in the music.

For Tong 桐, house music is not just a genre — it is a living culture, constantly evolving.

Tong 桐(he/they)
